Mr. Lysyk received an Applied Science Degree with Honors in Electrical Engineering Technology from Palliser College of Arts in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1981. He attended a Leadership Management Program at Leadership International from 1997 to 1999. During the 1980’s Mr. Lysyk held technology development, sales, and marketing positions at Rockwell International, Westburne Electric, and other Canadian oil & gas technology providers and product suppliers. In the 1990’s, he served as a consultant to numerous Canadian high tech companies, and was additionally contracted to perform due diligence work on high tech investments for Morgan Stanley & Co., and Pinkus Warburg. Within the Oil & Gas Industry, Mr. Lysyk is currently a senior manager of the Tarco Group of Companies in Calgary, Alberta, utilizing his experience in the complete oil & gas production cycle.
He is the main author of an exhaustive study to be undertaken for Pemex (Mexico) for Tarco entitled: ”Pemex North Region Production Review/Assessment Proposal“, outlining the current status of operations of a wide array of oil and gas facilities, wells, pipelines, and general infrastructure, with the goal of recommending a top-to-bottom overhaul of oilfield management, and implementation of new communications and control technologies resulting in enhanced daily production. During the past twenty years, Mr. Lysyk has traveled extensively representing international oil & gas technology and engineering companies with projects in Brazil, Mexico, China, Argentina, Egypt, and over 30 States in the U.S.
A brief sample of his professional activities includes: spearheading the development of a project management solution that facilitated the material selection and delivery scheduling for a $2.4 billion project in the Alberta Athabasca Tar Sands Oil & Gas Region; acting as a team leader to research, develop, and implement customer-driven solutions for oilfield optimization; and developing a model oil well enhancement mechanism increasing production for low reservoir pressure oil wells by 22%. Mr. Lysyk assists in advising the company’s government sector clients from Africa, the Middle East, and China regarding the implementation of Canadian oil & gas technologies to solve a diverse array of regional challenges.
